Wiebke Aepkers holds a Joint Masters degree in European Politics, Society and Culture in a Global Context for which she was awarded the Erasmus Mundus scholarship of international excellence. The degree was taught across three different countries, Canada, Spain and Czechia, providing her with extensive crosscultural expertise and close international networks.

She earned her BSc in International Communication from Erasmus University Rotterdam with Honours and Cum Laude distinctions and spent an exchange semester at 고려대학교 (Korea University) in Seoul during which she developed her expertise in East Asian politics and EU-Asia relations.

Working as a project and research assistant for several university initiatives, she conducted governance and policy research in international teams and represented research progress at international conferences.
