Global Neighbours was honoured to take part in the 21st Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity, held in the Republic of Korea. Widely recognised as one of Asia’s most influential platforms for dialogue, diplomacy, and international cooperation, the Forum brings together leading voices from across the globe to address shared challenges and explore pathways toward a more stable future.

This year’s gathering was held under the theme “Reinventing Cooperation in a Fragmented World”, reflecting the urgent need to rebuild trust and strengthen collaboration amid growing geopolitical, economic, and technological divides. The Forum marked its 21st anniversary in 2026 — a milestone celebrating more than two decades of serving as a trusted, neutral space to advance peace, support regional integration, and foster open and constructive international exchange.

Global Neighbours played an active role in this important global conversation, contributing to three high‑level sessions throughout the event. Our participation underscores our core mission: to advance Track II diplomacy, promote effective multilateralism, and build meaningful bridges between Europe, Asia, and all other regions of the world. Representing our organisation was a senior delegation comprising:

  • Jovanka Porsche, Founder and Chairwoman of Global Neighbours
  • Dr. Philipp Rösler, Secretary General of Global Neighbours and former Vice Chancellor of Germany
  • Siddharth Chatterjee, CEO of Global Neighbours and former United Nations Resident Coordinator

During the Forum, our delegates engaged in in‑depth discussions and exchanges with heads of state, former leaders, government ministers, senior diplomats, renowned academics, and business leaders.

Conversations focused on how to restore mutual confidence, strengthen international cooperation, and develop practical solutions to create a more peaceful, prosperous, and interconnected global community.
