Global Neighbours is proud to announce that Prof. Klaus Schwab, internationally renowned economist, author, and Founder of the World Economic Forum (WEF), has joined its Advisory Board.

One of the most influential architects of contemporary global governance, Prof. Schwab has spent more than five decades advancing international dialogue and cooperation. As the pioneer of the multi-stakeholder approach and the architect of stakeholder capitalism, he has brought together leaders from government, business, academia, and civil society to address the world's most pressing challenges.
His appointment marks a significant milestone in the continued development of Global Neighbours as an independent think-and-do-tank dedicated to increasing international cooperation, advancing public-private cooperation, and fostering innovative approaches to international diplomacy in an increasingly complex geopolitical environment.
Jovanka Porsche, Founder and Chairwoman of Global Neighbours, welcomed Prof. Schwab's appointment to the Advisory Board:
"We are profoundly honoured to welcome Prof. Klaus Schwab to our board. At a time when the global architecture is tested by fragmentation, Prof. Schwab's lifelong dedication to the common good and his unparalleled mastery of public-private cooperation serve as a beacon. His strategic wisdom will be invaluable as Global Neighbours crafts solutions to safeguard multilateral cooperation and bridge systemic divides. Together, we are reinforcing our commitment to building an inclusive, resilient global community that leaves no neighbour behind."
Throughout his distinguished career, Prof. Schwab transformed a simple vision into the world's foremost platform for international cooperation. His work has fundamentally shaped global conversations on responsible leadership, corporate global citizenship, sustainable development, technological transformation, and the future of international governance. These principles closely align with the mission of Global Neighbours to convene diverse perspectives, bridge divides, and develop forward-looking policy solutions for shared global challenges.
Reflecting the strong alignment between his lifelong work and the mission of Global Neighbours, Prof. Schwab remarked:
"For over half a century I have devoted my life to build a Global Neighbourhood for our interdependent world – and I am proud to continue this mission."
As a member of the Advisory Board, Prof. Schwab joins an internationally distinguished leadership team working alongside Christian Kern, President of Global Neighbours, Dr. Philipp Rösler, Secretary-General, Siddharth Chatterjee, Chief Executive Officer, and an accomplished network of global experts committed to strengthening international cooperation through dialogue, research, and practical action.
His appointment further reinforces Global Neighbours' commitment to serving as a trusted platform for strategic dialogue and innovative policymaking, bringing together leaders across regions and sectors to contribute to a more peaceful, resilient, and cooperative international order.
