Global Neighbours Chairwoman Jovanka Porsche recently participated in the Horizons Sustainability & Connectivity Forum in Belgrade, a high-level international gathering organised by the Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia. The forum brought together leaders from government, business, finance, technology, and academia to discuss the future of sustainable development, global connectivity, and international cooperation.

Across six thematic panels, participants explored some of the defining challenges and opportunities of our time, including the global energy transition, evolving geopolitical dynamics, ESG, Europe–Asia connectivity, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and the transformation of the international financial system.

As a panellist in the session "Eurasia Connectivity: The Marvels of the Future World", Ms Porsche joined distinguished speakers Stella Li, Teresa Cheng, Patrick Zhong, and Han Hua to discuss the future of connectivity across Eurasia. The conversation focused on strategic infrastructure, energy cooperation, rail corridors, the Digital Silk Road, and the growing importance of cross-border partnerships in strengthening economic resilience and regional integration.

A particular highlight of the visit was the meeting with H.E. Aleksandar Vučić, President of the Republic of Serbia. During the exchange, Ms Porsche presented Tracks to the Future, Global Neighbours' flagship initiative that connects Europe, Central Asia, and China through dialogue, connectivity, business cooperation, and cultural exchange. Designed as a mobile international forum, the initiative seeks to strengthen understanding, foster new partnerships, and promote sustainable cooperation along one of the world's most important connectivity corridors.

The Serbian side expressed strong interest in the initiative and welcomed its vision of promoting dialogue and cooperation across Eurasia. The discussions reaffirmed the shared importance of strengthening links between Europe and Asia through practical collaboration, mutual understanding, and long-term partnerships.

Global Neighbours extends its sincere appreciation to the organisers and all participants for the valuable exchange of perspectives. We look forward to returning to Belgrade as part of the Tracks to the Future 2026 journey and to continuing our work of building bridges between Europe, Central Asia, and China.
